Calabasas homes, from the guard gate to the back fence
Guard-gated homes in The Oaks and near Hidden Hills, and family houses with big yards and pools, in photos, video and drone.
A gate in front, the hills out back
Calabasas listings sell the whole property. A buyer coming in off Las Virgenes Road or Mulholland Highway wants to know what's behind the gate: the pool, the yard, the hills at the back fence. Photos and drone land the next morning. The listing video follows in 2 to 4 business days.
The city runs from the guard-gated streets of The Oaks to the shops at Calabasas Commons and the restaurants in Old Town Calabasas, with Hidden Hills just over the line behind its own gates. Many homes here are Mediterranean-style stucco with red tile roofs, and some back up to the Santa Monica Mountains. We shot a white two-story Spanish house on a deep green lawn, with an arched entry and a patio lounge out back. The lot was half the listing, so the lot got half the frames.
That's where the drone earns its keep. From above, a buyer sees how deep the lot runs, how the street curves through the community and how close the hillside sits. A photo from the ground can't show that.
Buyers here compare the lot before they compare the finishes: how big the yard is, where the pool sits, how much hillside stands behind it. So we shoot the outside as carefully as the kitchen. Inside, we keep the rooms bright and true to color, because the oak floors, white walls and big sliders are what these interiors rely on.

Learn moreWhat does Calabasas real estate photography cost?
The same as anywhere in LA: priced by the home's size. Photos start at $250, and listing packages run from $650 (Standard) to $2,200 (Signature). You see your exact price before you book.
Do you shoot gated communities in Calabasas, like The Oaks?
Yes. We shoot inside gated communities across Calabasas, including The Oaks and the streets near Hidden Hills. Send us the gate code or the guard-house contact when you book, and we work around the community's access rules. Photos, video and drone happen in one visit.
How soon can I list after the shoot?
Photos and drone are in your inbox the next morning, so a Tuesday shoot can be on the MLS Wednesday. The listing video follows in 2 to 4 business days. A deep lot with the pool at the far end means a longer day on site, not a later delivery.
Why does drone matter for Calabasas listings?
Many Calabasas lots run long, with the hillside right behind the back fence. A drone shows how deep the lot goes, where the pool sits and how the street curves through the community. A ground photo can't. Airspace depends on the address, so we check each one before we fly.
What time of day is best for a Calabasas exterior?
We plan around which way the house faces. Usually the rooms go first, while the light is even, and the yard goes last, when the sun is low and the stucco turns warm. We lay out that plan on the call before the shoot.
Which Calabasas neighborhoods do you cover?
We cover Calabasas, from The Oaks and Old Town Calabasas to the gated streets near Hidden Hills, plus Woodland Hills and West Hills next door.
