Most LA listings need one video, not five. So which one comes first? Standard video ($400) is a smooth tour of the home with no agent in it. It works on the MLS, YouTube and your listing site. Premium video ($600) is the same tour with you on camera at the open and close and a film-style edit. You get a branded version and an MLS version. Pick horizontal for the MLS and YouTube. Pick vertical for Instagram and TikTok, where people were never searching the MLS. The price is the same. Day-to-night video is a $300 add-on. Signature video ($1,200) starts with a planning call and tells the home's story with a voiceover. The one-take walkthrough is different. It's you, talking and walking through the home on your own phone. We don't shoot that one, and in our experience it's often the post agents get the most from. Need just one video, just a tour? Book the Standard video. Want to be in it? Book the Premium video. Below you'll find a comparison table, four common scenarios, and one real Bel Air shoot.
Which video does my listing actually need?
That depends on where the video has to play, not on which one sounds fanciest. A horizontal video and a vertical video are made for two different crowds. One lives on the MLS and your listing site. The other lives on a phone screen, mid-scroll. Book the wrong one and it still looks good. It just won't reach the people you wanted.
This guide only compares video. Still deciding between photo, video and a 3D tour for the whole listing? Start with photo vs. video vs. 3D tour: which sells which listing? and come back once you know video is in the plan.
If you can only book one and you just need a tour, book the Standard video. It's our base video. It's included starting at the Standard package, and it plays everywhere a buyer or a future seller will look: the MLS, YouTube, your listing site, and the sample you bring to your next pitch. Choose the Premium video if you want to be in it. Add a second cut when the listing, or your own following, can use one made for social. Each extra video at the same visit is $100 off.
What each format actually is
We shoot most of these for you, in the same visit as your photos. One is a way to post footage you already have. One is all yours to shoot, and we leave it that way on purpose. Here's what each one is for and who holds the camera.
- Standard video ($400) is a smooth tour of every main room, paced like a home tour, with no agent in it. It runs on the MLS, YouTube and your website, and becomes the sample you bring to the next listing pitch.
- Premium video ($600) is the same tour, plus you on camera at the open and close and a film-style edit. You get a branded version and an MLS version. Pick horizontal for the MLS and YouTube, or vertical for Instagram and TikTok, where it can reach people who were never searching the MLS. The price is the same.
- Signature video ($1,200) starts with a planning call. Then it tells the home's story with a voiceover, shot from day into night, with full sound design. It's for the listings you want to be known for.
- Day-to-night video ($300 add-on) moves from day into dusk in one shot. It's the shot people remember and send around. It's already part of the Signature video.
- The one-take walkthrough is you, talking and walking the home on your own phone. Your voice, your face, made for Stories. We don't film this one today. It works because it's loose and it's you, not a crew.
- The carousel post puts a short clip and some stills in one Instagram post. It's a way to post, not a separate shoot, and it gets more use out of a package you already booked.

Compare the six formats side by side
Same shoot, different jobs. Here's how they compare, and who films each one.
| Format | What it's for | Where it runs | Who makes it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard video | Shows the flow of the whole home, room to room | MLS, YouTube, your listing website, your next pitch | VVT films it, in the same visit as your photos. $400 |
| Premium video | The same tour, plus you on camera at the open and close, edited like a film | MLS and YouTube (horizontal), or Instagram and TikTok (vertical) | VVT films it, in the same visit. $600 |
| Signature video | Tells the home's story by voiceover, day into night | The hero video for a luxury listing | VVT plans and films it. $1,200 |
| Day-to-night video | One shot buyers remember and forward | Wherever the video already lives | VVT films it, $300 add-on to a Premium video |
| One-take walkthrough | A raw, talk-as-you-walk tour that feels personal | Instagram, TikTok, wherever you post | You film it yourself, on your phone |
| Carousel post | Stretches one shoot across more posts | Instagram, Facebook | VVT can cut the clips; you post the sequence |
Which does your listing need? Four common scenarios
Your price point and your goals matter more than any rule of thumb. Here's how we'd think about four common cases:
- The starter condo, under about $700K. Standard photos (from $250) are the floor. If the budget allows, add the Standard video with the Standard package (from $650) so buyers see the space move. Skip the Premium video and day-to-night for now. Film your own one-take walkthrough on your way out the door. It costs nothing, and people tend to watch it.
- The standard family home, roughly $800K to $1.5M. The Premium package (from $1,100, our best seller) fits here: a film-style video with you on camera, a floor plan and four twilights. It's what a buyer comparing several listings at this price actually looks at.
- The luxury listing, $3M and up. Book the Signature package (from $2,200). You get a planning call, a voiceover story video shot day into night, real twilight and your Signature vertical. A carousel built from the same footage can keep the listing in front of people for weeks after launch.
- The agent building a brand, at any price point. Book Premium video so you're on camera at the open and close of every shoot. Keep posting your own one-take walkthroughs between listings. Ask for a carousel cut from any Premium package or higher, so your feed doesn't go quiet between listings.
Every price above is for homes up to 2,000 sq ft; larger homes are priced per square foot. See the full breakdown on our pricing page, or the whole lineup on our video service page.
How the formats work together: one real shoot, three deliverables
947 N Beverly Glen Blvd is a real Bel Air listing, and it shows this better than a made-up example. One visit gave us three things: the full listing video for the listing site and the next pitch, a shorter cut for the MLS (which caps video length), and a carousel for Instagram built from the same clips. Nothing was reshot. It all came from one shoot day. See the full case study →

The carousel had one rule: video first. Slide one was the aerial pass over the Bel Air hills toward the Century City skyline, moving, not a still. Three photos came next: the craftsman entrance and sunroom, the wood-paneled library, and a living room seating detail. Motion is what stops a thumb mid-scroll. Stills keep people swiping once they've stopped. Lead with a still and many people will scroll past before the video gets a chance.

Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between Standard video and Premium video?
Standard video is a smooth tour of the home with no agent in it. It's made for the MLS, YouTube and your listing site. Premium video is the same kind of tour with you on camera at the open and close and a film-style edit, plus a branded version and an MLS version. Standard is $400 and Premium is $600. Many agents who book video end up wanting both a horizontal and a vertical once they see how each one does on its own platform.
Do I need both a horizontal and a vertical video, or is one enough?
If you can only book one and you just need a tour, book the Standard video. It's included starting at the Standard package, and it plays everywhere from the MLS to your next listing pitch. Choose the Premium video if you want to be in it. Pick horizontal for the MLS and YouTube, or vertical for Instagram and TikTok. The price is the same. Add a second cut when the listing, or your own following, can use one made for social. Each extra video at the same visit is $100 off.
Can I film the one-take walkthrough myself, or does VVT shoot that too?
The phone version is yours: your own voice and face, made for Stories. We don't film the one-take walkthrough. It works because it's loose and it's you on your own phone, not a crew. Our Ad Kit shows you how to shoot and post it well. If you'd rather have us film a tour, that's the Standard video: $400, shot and edited by us.
Does VVT shoot carousel content, or is that something I put together myself?
Yes, we cut it from your shoot day. A carousel is a different way to post footage you already have: a short video slide, then a few stills. Our 947 N Beverly Glen Blvd case study shows one real example, aerial pass first, stills after.
How fast do I get the video back?
Photos, drone and 3D land the next morning. Video takes 2 to 4 business days. It's the one thing we won't rush.
